A Little History on Bonfante Garden Gilroy California.
The Gilroy theme park and gardens was built in Gilroy, California by Michael and Claudia Bonfante. The couple sold its Nob Hill Foods supermarket chain in order to fund the construction of the park over 25 years. The garden park in Gilroy, which opened to the public in June 2001 under the name Bonfante Gardens at the time. Six years later, its name was changed and more rides, attractions and gardens were added.

This theme park prides itself on having over 40 rides that are designed for guests of all ages and even those with disabilities. Some of the famous rides at the Garden Amusement Park in Gilroy include:
Quicksilver Express Mine Coaster – Themed after a local abandoned mine, this unique roller coaster allows you to enjoy an up close and personal experience with nearly 600 trees.
Coyote and Redwood Junctions Railroad Train – Designed to be replicas of an 1863 C.P. Huntington steam locomotive, these trains come with custom-designed roofs that allow you to view the reasons which make the gardens at Gilroy Park unique.
Artichoke Dip – Though it’s similar to cups and saucers rides, the Artichoke Dip stands out because a Coastal Live Oak is in its middle. This tree is special because it is the only tree which hasn’t been moved from its original location

Circus Trees are a group of unusual trees created by Axel Erlandson. These became famous in the 1940s and 50s due to their designs and still manage to attract visitors from across the world.
